How Soon Can I Stop Taking Antibiotics?

You must take the prescription as indicated and keep taking it until the bottle is empty. You can call your dentist if you experience a reaction to the drug, such as a skin rash, and stop taking the prescription. Please be aware that certain antibiotics may affect how well birth control tablets work. Please inform your dentist so you can take a different type of antibiotic.
How Soon Can I Eat?
You can take out the gauze sponges in your mouth and eat something for around an hour following surgery. For the first 24 hours after surgery, see to it that you only eat soft foods. It would help if you also stayed away from hot foods and beverages within this period. It is also advisable that you refrain from using a straw when drinking. Your mouth will be more likely to heal properly if you take these precautions.
