Dr. Robert J. Herrod
Dr. Herrod makes it his top priority to ensure that every patient is comfortable while delivering individualized, compassionate care.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from Notre Dame, Dr. Herrod pursued his master's degree in biotechnology at Rush University in Chicago.
Dr. Herrod stayed in Chicago for an additional four years earning his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
He then completed a rigorous four-year residency training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey and the VA Medical Center in East Orange, New Jersey, where he served as Chief Resident.
During His Years in New Jersey, Dr. Herrod Was Extensively Trained in All Aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Including:
Management of TMJ Disorders
Corrective Jaw Surgery
Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Dental Implants
Tooth Removal
Administration of Anesthesia
Complex Bone Grafting Procedures
Head and Neck Pathology
Facial Trauma
When not in the office, Dr. Herrod enjoys spending time with family, working on his golf game, traveling, and playing the guitar. He is very excited to serve the patients of South Florida!
